716 West can be rented in various capacities such as wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, business meetings and events, birthday parties, baby and bridal showers, and class reunions.

The home can accommodate up to 200 guests (standing) when the Simpson Room, Dining Room, Front Parlor and the patio are used for your event. The Simpson Room can accommodate 80-100 seated guests. Click here for a floor plan.

Our rental rates are dependent on the date and length of your event. We pride ourselves on having no hidden fees or charges such as ceremony or holiday fees. The event is not officially booked until payment is received and contract signed.

MONDAY-thursday (8 hours)

  • $1150 or $1000 with preferred caterers

FRIDAY (8 hours)

  • $1650 or $1500 with preferred caterers

SATURDAY (9am - 5pm )

  • $1650 or $1500 with preferred caterers

    Saturday ( 3pm - 11pm)

  • $2000 or $1850 with preferred caterers

    SATURDAY (9am - 11pm)

  • $2850 or $3000 with preferred caterer

SUNDAY (8 hours)

  • $1650 or $1500 with preferred caterers

 All packages include:

  • 1 hour walk-through

  • 100 chairs

  • 10 60 inch round tables

  • 3 eight foot tables

  • 5 Highboy tables

  • 1 four foot table

Other Details:

  • The downstairs may be purchased for an additional $150.

  • Additional walk-throughs or ceremony rehearsal time may be purchased at $100/hour.

  • $500.00 is due at time of reservation with the signed contract to secure your date. The remainder of rental fee is due 60 days prior to rental date. The $500 will be applied to the final balance.

  • A credit card will be kept on file for 14 days.

PARKING

716 West offers free parking on West Trinity Place and additional parking across the street from the 716 West at St. Thomas More Church with prior approval. Please observe parking signs posted by the City of Decatur. The driveway of 716 West is traditionally reserved for Catering vehicles.

CATERING

Click here to see our preferred list of caterers. You may select a caterer of your own, but they must be approved, provide a copy of their certificate of liability and local business license 60 days in advance of your rental date.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • One reschedule is allowed if requested in writing more than six months (180 days) in advance of the scheduled rental date.

  • Cancellations incur a 50% fee.
